Every year NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) at undergraduate level for admission in MBBS, BDS and other courses. The NEET 2022 exam  was held in 13 different regional languages  throughout India. This year  18,72,343 number of candidates appeared out of which 9,93,069 candidates have qualified the NEET UG MBBS 22 examination.

The cut off percentile stood low for all the categories in comparison to the last year’s (2021) percentile.

NEET CUT OFF for 2022

This year for taking admission in MBBS the NEET Cut- off for General Category is 715-117, for OBC is 116-93, for SC/ST is 116-93. The cut off for MBBS this year stands relatively low as compared to last year’s for all the categories. In 2021 the cut off for the General category was 720-145.

With the NEET cut off list out, it is likely that the counselling process for admission in MBBS will soon start from 10 th October22 for admission in various medical colleges throughout the country.

MBBS ADMISSION 2022

For getting admission into top ranking government medical colleges in India the NEET score expected should be above 600. Even if you have a NEET score of 400 you are likely to get admission in an MBBS course in some state or private college depending on your category.The MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) has announced  the counselling dates at the official website www.mcc.nic.in. After the released of NEET 2022 counselling date all the qualified students will have to register as new  candidates on the official website by filling up the form, uploading the  necessary documents and making payment of the registration fees. NEET EXAM PATTERN 2022

NTA has made some necessary changes in the NEET 2022 exam pattern for MBBS which are as follows:

The paper was of 720 marks consisting of 200 multiple choice  questions carrying 4 marks each out of which only 180 questions were to be solved. One mark  deducted for each wrong answer. No marks were awarded for questions that are left unanswered. Moreover, an addition of 20 minutes has also been made for the 3 hours long exam.
