Increase in MBBS seats in India 2020
There has been growth in the demand of healthcare professionals in the country. The Government of India is trying to increase the number of seats and colleges in MBBS and BDS through NEET every year. The government’s move is in line with its plans to give increased opportunities to students. AIIMS and JIPMER will consider NEET scores for granting admission from the academic year 2020-21.
States participating in NEET fulfill the 85% medical quota seats and 15% are fulfilled by the All India centralised counselling. Students failing to seek admission in the Indian medical institutions can seek admission abroad.
